After missing out on the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs, New York Red Bulls are already looking ahead to the 2024 campaign and working out how they can be more successful on and off the field. One of their objectives is to attract more fans to matches, which has seen them launch a holiday ticket promotion ahead of the start of the new season, expected to begin in February. However, Lionel Messi and Inter Miami aren’t part of the deal.

What is NYRB’s “Holiday Pack”?

According to Associated Press, NYRB sent out an email to consumers offering a “Holiday Pack,” with those taking up the offer getting tickets for two matches (the opening game at Red Bull Arena and the Hudson River Derby at home to New York City FC) for a special price. However, should they be drawn to face The Herons in their first home fixture, the deal will be modified.

It always pays to look out for asterisks and read the small print, which in this case explains: “If RBNY plays Inter Miami CF in the home opener, each home opener ticket will be replaced with a ticket to RBNY’s 2nd home match.” The offer has since made its way onto The Red Bulls’ website. Spokesperson Zachary Lahey has revealed the club had no comment to make on the offer.
