UFC 264: Poirer vs McGregor
Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor are to face off for the third time when they go head to head at UFC 264 on Saturday, as the Irishman seeks revenge for his loss to Poirier earlier this year.
Poirier, nicknamed ‘The Diamond’, beat McGregror via technical knockout in Abu Dhabi in January, having lost out to the 32-year-old when they first met, in September 2014.
McGregor is seeking to avoid registering consecutive defeats for the only time in his UFC career. Meanwhile, Poirier is chasing a third straight win, having beaten Dan Hooker in June 2020 before his victory over ‘Notorious’ five months ago.
